Heritage Toyota Scion Participates in the VEIC Electric Vehicle Demo Day

One of our plug-in Pius's at the VEIC electric vehicle dayIn early August, Heritage Toyota Scion was part of an electric vehicle demonstration at the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation in Burlington, Vermont. VEIC invited a handful of local dealerships with electric vehicle options in order to educate the public on the EVs available, how to make the switch to electric, and how to maintain an EV.

Salesperson, Mason Maltais , and shop foreman, Ryan Holland answered questions on two Prius Plug-ins provided by Heritage Toyota Scion. Other EVs on display included the Chevrolet Volt provided by Shearer Chevrolet,  Nissan Leaf from Freedom Nissan,  Mitsubishi i from Burlington Mitsubishi, and a Tesla Roadster from a Vermont resident’s personal collection.

Although it was scorching hot outside, the attendants stayed cool with free scoops from Ben & Jerry’s, and air conditioned test drives.

VEIC hosted a great informational event and we’re glad to have participated.

Progress Continues on the New Heritage Toyota Service Building

If you’ve been around our South Burlington stores in recent weeks, you’ve noticed the amazing progress on the new Heritage Toyota service and parts building, slated to open in mid-September.

On the outside, the new building is getting the fullToyotatreatment, decked out in the trademark white with red trim. Inside, the 32 service bays (including 3 quick-lube bays for faster oil changes and tire rotations) are moving closer to completion by the day.  The floors have been finished, the walls are being painted, and just yesterday the vehicle lifts were delivered and are being prepared for installation. Even the service drive door is getting an upgrade-that somewhat innocent looking door you see below will open in under 1 second, making your visit to the new service department that much faster!

We invite you to stop in to see the building when it’s completed! To see more of the construction progress, head to our Facebook album here.
