Avoid These 3 Mistakes When Buying a Vehicle!
You want to make sure you get the most bang for your buck when you buy a used or new vehicle, and that’s why our agents are here to help! We want you to have a great experience when you shop for cars, whether with us or not, and that’s why we’ve put together a list of three mistakes you should avoid making to ensure your experience isn’t a bad one! Continue reading below to see what mistakes you should avoid!
1. Not Taking the Test Drive
Around 20% of our buyers don’t take their vehicle for a test drive before making the purchase, and that’s a huge mistake! A test drive can help you find out if the vehicle is the right one for you, preventing the much-dreaded buyer’s remorse from setting in. You want to make sure the vehicle handles right, that there’s enough space, and more before you buy!
2. Not Having the Car Checked Yourself
While many dealerships have onsite servicing and mechanics, like ours does, you shouldn’t just take their word for the quality of the vehicle. You don’t want to inherit someone’s problems when you buy used and can save yourself a ton of money down the line by having a professional mechanic check it for a small initial investment. Car dealers like ours won’t be offended if you ask for this service!
3. Not Running the Vehicle History Report
Many dealerships, including ours, will give you a vehicle history report on the model you’re interested in, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t run your own! Running your own history report through a company like CarFax or AutoCheck by using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is highly recommended. This will make sure you have the most accurate information regarding the vehicle’s history and present shape before you buy.
