New Toyota 86 Hakone Model Announced
To celebrate years of street racing and performance driving, Toyota is happy to announce a new trim level for the Toyota 68, an iconic racing vehicle! This new trim edition, the Hakone, is named after the iconic Hakone Turnpike, one of the great driving roads of Japan. Its located southwest of Tokyo, and a famous spot for street racing. 2017 Toyota 86 Release Date and Specs
Toyota announced earlier this year that they were transitioning Scion into the Toyota brand and that several Scion vehicles would move over to Toyota with new names. Toyota has decided that the former Scion FR-S will now become the Toyota 86. The first year of the 86 will be the 2017 Toyota 86 which has an expected release date of sometime this fall. The former Scion FR-S sports car will have more aggressive styling with a larger center intake emphasizing the low, wide stance of the car. Toyota has redesigned the exterior as well with re-configured LED front headlamps and turn signals and a new revised bumper.
