The H-Team has been committed to serving the greater Burlington community for over 25 years! Whether it be through donating 4,000 lbs of canned good, creating awareness for local pet rescues and animal shelters of Chittenden County, or pulling a firetruck up Church Street to support LGBTQ youth, we look forward to continuing our support for the community in 2019! Here is a short recap of the H-Team’s community involvement over the past year.
H-Team Food Drive
Every year the H-Team is proud to organize the Turkey Challenge. All members of the H-Team (over 250 employees) help fill a truck in our Toyota showroom with non-perishable food items throughout the month. After weighing the food donations, we match that weight in frozen turkeys! This year we donated over 2,000 lbs of food to the Chittenden County Emergency Food Shelf. Without the selfless help of our employees this event would not reach the same level of success.
Boys and Girls Club of Burlington
2018 marks the H-Team’s 10th year supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington. We are very proud to work with the Boys & Girls Club and support their creation of educational opportunities for kids in the community. In May 2018 we hosted a car wash fundraiser to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. The H-Team and members of the Boys and Girls Club worked as a group washing cars and raising money to support the many programs the club offers.
Heritage Night at the Ballpark
The H-Team celebrated yet another anniversary at this year’s Night at the Ballpark. Members of the H-Team handed out hundreds of 25th anniversary Lake Monsters ball-caps and threw out the first pitch. We were also proud to sponsor Kids Eat Free Thursdays! The first 400 kids under 12 through the gate receive a voucher for a free hot dog, free bag of chips, and a free soda!
More Love Pet Event
We are moving into our 3rd year celebrating the More Love Pet Event. Each year we aim to raise awareness of local animal shelters and rescues. This year 4 agencies (Franklin County Animal Rescue, All Breed Rescue, Passion 4 Paws, North County Animal League) are attending the event and will be prepared to finalize on-the-spot adoptions, meaning event-goers can leave the event with their new furry friend!
Members of the H-Team “pulled together” quite literally to help LGBTQ teens in Vermont. As our team combined their strength to pull a firetruck up Church Street, Outright Vermont smashed their $60,000 goal and raised $73,360 to support their organization. Our team found it incredibly rewarding to work with members of every department to raise awareness for an important cause.
