Toyota built the Highlander knowing it would be likely used for families or transporting a larger number of passengers, therefore Toyota added many compartments and cup holders to accommodate all the Highlander's passengers. The Highlander has 8 cup holders and 4 bottle holders in the interior and the dashboard has a unique built-in shelf that is great for phones and other small personal items. The spacious center console is large enough to fit a large purse and other items. While handling 8 passengers, the Highlander still offers nearly 14 cubic feet of cargo space. Need more cargo room, that number can expand to 42.3 and 83.7 cubic feet to accommodate cargo space needs.
