On Sunday, July 29th 2018, Heritage Automotive Group hosted a Heritage Night at the Vermont Lake Monsters. Members of the H‐Team—employees of Heritage Automotive Group—attended the game at Centennial Field and handed out 25th anniversary edition hats to 750 people, celebrating the 25 years the Vermont Lake Monsters have been a part of our community.
What does it mean to build a strong community? The H-Team knows it starts with healthy opportunities for kids. That’s why we are so proud to partner with The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. Since 2008, we’ve supported the club and its educational initiatives for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club.
The H-Team at Heritage Toyota is proud to support the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington through the filming and production of this video created for their annual luncheon.
On Friday, May 18th 2018, Heritage Automotive Group hosted a fundraising car wash to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington. Members of the H‐Team worked side‐by‐side with the kids and staff of the Club to raise funds for the many programs that the Club offers.
It started in 2015 with Heritage Toyota stepping up and donating 16 turkeys to the Queen City Saints so they could reach their goal of 200 turkeys donated to local food shelves and it has only grown from there. Each year, the H-Team at Heritage Toyota collects non-perishable goods with the goal of filling the back of a pickup truck. We then take the weight of all of those canned goods and match the weight in donation on pounds of turkey to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. Due to the commitment from our employees and customers, our donation has grown from the 16 turkeys donated in 2015 to 72 turkeys donated by the H-Team by 2016. More recently in 2017, the H-Team collected 1,000 lbs of non-perishables and matched it with a 1,000 lbs turkey donation, bringing our total donation to local food shelves to over 4,000 lbs in a few short years.
Members of the H‐Team—employees of Heritage Automotive Group—were in attendance to "pull together" for LGBTQ youths in Vermont. Outright Vermont was founded in 1989 and have provided support, advocacy, and celebration of young queer people in Vermont for over 20 years. Outright Vermont's goal with the Fire Truck Pull was to raise $60,000 - they ended up smashing the goal and raised a whopping $73,360!
In 2017, Heritage Toyota was asked to film a safety fair at Mt. Abe High School and the filming sparked a true interest in safety from the H-Team. We have moved forward with this idea and now offer a safety grant to local schools wishing to hold their own safety fair, as well as develop a line of commercials focusing on the safety features unique to Toyota.
In May of 2017, Mount Abraham Union High School invited Heritage Toyota to be a part of their full-day safety fair. In meeting parents, school administrators, first responder personnel, and state safety experts, we began to realize we could help foster a conversation about safety in our communities.
For the 2017-2018 school year, Heritage Toyota offered a $250 safety grant for hosting a safety fair at any Vermont school and it could be used however the host school chooses to execute their safety fair. The school could use the grant to pay for speaker fees, cover lunch costs, create volunteer t-shirts, or any other use - as long as the grant went toward hosting a safety fair and educating Vermont students.
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is just one part of the Toyota Safety Sense program, which comes standard on all trim levels—even base models—of any 2018 Toyota Camry. We believe you shouldn't have to pay more for safety features; everyone in your family should have the same access to the newest safety technology available, regardless of what your monthly car budget might allow
